Results of online searches for "limo rental" can yield large national firms that farm-out or sub-contract your reservation to a company unknown to you. In terms of customer service, you are at a loss to reach this company quickly or at all.

If possible visit the office in person and view the cars in the fleet.

Some companies have all new cars, some do not. Advertising may spotlight "the best they have" and the car that arrives may be a surprise (not always the good kind) If you cannot go in person, be sure to ask many questions as to the condition of the entire fleet.

Make sure you know the total price of your service or trip.

The "gratuity" or driver's tip can range from 15% to 25% in addition to hourly rates. This is of particular importance in pricing Wedding and Prom Packages. In comparing rates and finding a super low one, typically the gratuity is not included.
